We are extremely proud that the first ever training and certification course for Certified Trail Raters (CTRs) of the ITRS (International Trail Rating System) came to such a successful conclusion.
In early April, the ITRS Management Consortium (Trail Therapy GmbH and Edoardo Melchiori from TrailGeek Consulting) welcomed a highly motivated and experienced group from all over Europe with a background in, e.g., trail building, trail building education, destination consulting, route design and bike guiding in Visp, Valais, Switzerland.
They managed to translate theory into consistent trail rating practice and provided very positive as well as constructive and nuanced feedback to the ITRS, the training and the ITRS Trail Rating App.
ITRS Certified Trail Raters are key to the dissemination and quality management of the ITRS – a new profession in mountain biking that we seek to establish even further.
