New bike signage on Lake Garda – Bergparadiese.de

The German website Bergparadiese.de recently published an article about the new ITRS MTB signage adopted in the Lake Garda Region.

The bike signage around Lake Garda, particularly in Garda Trentino and Northern Lake Garda, is undergoing a substantial upgrade. Recognized for its extensive route network, the region is enhancing signage not only for better orientation but also to offer valuable information for mountain bikers. The signs, classified under “tours” and “trails,” now follow the International Trail Rating System (ITRS) with color-coded difficulty levels. The new signage features a prominent directional arrow, a larger tour name, and a QR code for smartphone access to additional tour details. The implementation aims to reduce sign clutter and enhance safety. Seeking feedback from the mountain bike community, Garda Trentino plans to apply this standardized signage in other municipalities by 2024. The website provides real-time trail status, and a downloadable map includes route numbers, descriptions, and ITRS ratings, facilitating a comprehensive biking experience.
